Erasmus University charter

Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia has been part of Erasmus Charter for Higher Education since 2005. We cooperate with higher education institutions and health care providers across Europe, currently working with 45 active partners from 21 European countries. Our activities are aimed at building awareness of different health care systems and providing students and teachers with the skills that are necessary to meet all the future challenges of ensuring quality health care in a cross-cultural society. Erasmus+ students are welcome to apply for traineeships in three main fields:

Clinical training for exchange students is provided at affiliated health care institutions. The training aims at strengthening theoretical and practical knowledge of trainees, developing professional skills and attitudes, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and teamwork between students and health care professionals.

How to apply

Contact the International Relations Office at your university and find out whether there is an Erasmus+ agreement with Riga Medical college of the University of Latvia in your field of study. Afterwards, they should send us filled Nomination letter which indicates that you have been nominated from your institution to participate in Erasmus+ program.

Nomination Letter

Please note that your language proficiency in English should be at least on the B2 level in order to study or have a practical training at Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia.
