5th International scientific conference

Riga Medical College of University of Latvia in collaboration with the Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy in 27 October revealed already 5th International scientific conference “New Approaches to Improving Health Care Education : Today and Tomorrow” bringing together academics, scientists and industry professionals with a common goal – to share research experience in health sciences.

The conference plenary session was opened  by director of  Riga Medical College of University of Latvia –  Astra Bukulī te, Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy Deputy Rector of innovation and research issues – Zenta Anspoka, Vice Rector of the University of Latvia for exact sciences, life and medical sciences – Valdis Segliņš, dean of  Faculty of Medicine of the University of Latvia – Valdis Folkmanis, as well as State emergency medical assistance service Director Sarmite Villere.

The most outstanding participants of the conference were Helga Bragadóttir, PhD (University of Iceland), Marcus Stück, PhD (DPFA-Uni Germany) as well as the professor of Austrian Private University College of Education of the Diocesà of Linz –  Hans Schachl, PhD and Petra Mandysova, PhD  representing the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic.

The conference dealt with topics such as traditional and innovative approach to health care and education, study and research activities integration in health care: theory and practice of lifelong learning development of a market economy as well as the Transcultural Health Care.
