Important decisions at Nordplus Norlys network online meeting

Norlys is a monoprofessional network in Nursing sciences, which operates since the 1990ies and expanded with Baltic institutions, currently comprising 11 partner universities.

The network focuses on student mobility and teacher exchange with a target to develop teaching materials and intensive courses. The collaboration is close, respectful and valuable, therefore during these challenging times the network participants have dedicated many working hours on online platforms to maintain quality cooperation and draft future plans.

The physical mobility in autumn semester of 2020/2021 academic year have been paused due to the continuous threat caused by the covid-19, but the network will keep working to assure smooth planning of spring semester. Norlys partners have decided to schedule two intensive courses in 2021:

–          Mental Health of Young Labour Immigrants (3 ECTS) is planned to take place in Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway) on March 1-5, 2021. In case the travel restrictions will remain, the network teachers will deliver online course to assure students receive 3 ECTS for their work. Student enrolment deadline is Friday 4.12.2020.

–          Intensive course Immigrant Women’s Mental Health Problems (3 ECTS) is scheduled at Copenhagen University College (Denmark) on September 20-24, 2021. Student enrolment deadline is Friday 15.3.2021.

Norlys network teachers will have a face-to-face meeting if possible in Copenhagen on January 12-13, 2021 to plan the courses and develop new project application. Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia will take the responsibility of network coordination as of period 2021/2022 for three consecutive years, starting with planning and coordinating the new application.
