NordPCC project participants gained important knowledge and shared their experience of patient care in an intercultural context!

March has been a very productive month in Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia for both students and lecturers. Last week, the second international week was held, which took place online with the help of the Zoom platform.

UL RMC students and lecturers actively participated in the Nordplus program NordPCC project intensive course event with the topic “Patient Centered Care (PCC) in Multicultural Society and its Ethical Implications” 8.03.-11.03.2021. During this week, more than 20 students and lecturers from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark and Iceland gained important knowledge and shared their experience of patient care in an intercultural context and related ethical issues. Students had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge by presenting scientific articles, as well as to develop their multicultural competencies by working in international working groups during the week. Despite the fact that the courses were held remotely, all participants undoubtedly gained new knowledge and colossal experience that can be used in both professional and personal areas of life.
