November- rich period of virtual mobilities!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

November is not only the anniversary month of Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia, but also a rich period of virtual mobilities. In current academic year we had the pleasure to host our third Erasmus+ Virtual Teaching Mobility. For two days between November 23 – 24, a Lithuanian lecturer Mr. Martynas Ramanauskas from Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences delivered online lectures to students representing Massage and Hydrotherapy study programme. The online teaching programme was very broad, including:

  1. The Basics of Upper Extremities Clinically Kinesiology.

-Osteokinematics, arthrokinematics, functional kinesiology and pathophysiology of the upper extremity

-The main aspects of upper limb surface anatomy according to muscle functions.

-The changes in muscles activity (EMG) due to certain pathologies (shoulder impingement, shoulder instability, total shoulder arthroplasty)

  1. Shoulder Assessment, Treatment and Injury Prevention.

-The algorithms of shoulder orthopaedic assessment

-The physiotherapy of the shoulder in certain pathologies

-Shoulder prevention program for overhead athletes

  1. The Main Concepts of Sports Physiotherapy.

-Practical aspects of evidence-based sport physiotherapy

-Injury prevention algorithms.

Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia is delighted to have a very productive international cooperation with Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences and both higher education institutions are looking forward to resume physical mobilities and other activities in the future.
