Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia hosts the first Virtual Teaching Mobility!

Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia marks the beginning of the Erasmus Days 2020 with a guest speaker form Lithuania. Despite the current epidemiological and travel restrictions, Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia is continuing the Erasmus+ program activities with the help of distance learning tools and ICT possibilities. This week we had the honor to host our very first virtual guest lecturer Asta Butkuvienė form Panevežys University of Applied Sciences, Lithuania. Physician Assistant and Nursing students had a wonderful experience with two in-depth lectures on such topics as Umbilical Cord Care in Newborns and Body Language – Powerful Communication. The lectures encouraged lively discussions among students and teachers.

Panevežys University of Applied Sciences has been a valuable partner of Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia not only in Erasmus+ programme, whith active student mobility flows in previous academic years, but also in Nordplus network, where a joint intensive course for the students is currently under development.
